A stoner who filmed himself forcing his dog to inhale smoke from a cannabis joint is wanted on suspicion of animal cruelty after the shocking footage went viral.
The footage, recorded on December 27, shows a Brazilian man grabbing the dog by the collar.
He then takes a drag from his joint and breathes the smoke straight into the defenseless pooch's mouth, known as a "blowback".
The footage shows the stoner carrying out the act in front of a young child and a woman before taking a drag of the joint and chuckling to himself.
Animal-rights activist and lawyer Ana Paula Vasconcelos watched the video and reported the incident to the police, describing it as "revolting" on social media.
According to Vasconcelos, the man's cigarette probably contained cannabis.
"If this criminal does this on the street, imagine what he's capable of doing on the sly," she wrote.
The police are currently seeking the unidentified man, who is wanted on suspicion of animal cruelty, which is a punishable crime in Brazil.
They released a phone number for members of the public to anonymously report any information that may help them with their investigation.
Vasconcelos told local media that she hopes the man will be prosecuted and his dog taken away from him.
Dogs exposed to marijuana may exhibit include a "drunken" walk, incontinence, and hypersensitivity to touch, according to petmd.com.
This comes after schoolgirls were hospitalised when they ate cannabis sweets "50 times stronger than a joint" and ended up hallucinating and feeling sick.
