A fast-food loving thug has been slammed for smashing a McDonald’s register in anger over coronavirus rules.

The moustachioed yob was turfed out of the burger joint after becoming aggressive at a hardworking member of staff.

North South Wales Health Minister has since criticised the bloke after his antics in an Australian branch of McDonald’s went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Police said the man, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was asked to leave the venue when staff asked him to wear a mask.

In a clip circulated online, a staff member can be seen pointing at a QR code before the Covidiot launches into a violent rampage.

The man can be seen pushing the cash register off the counter in anger.

Police said they were called to reports of a man becoming "aggressive" at around 8pm.

McDonald’s told Yahoo News that the bloke had become infuriated after been asked to sign into the store.

A spokesman said: "We continue to follow Government advice and require all dine-in guests across the state to sign-in via the Service NSW QR Code in accordance with our Covid-Safe plan.

"We do not tolerate any form of abuse or violence in our restaurants, and any anti-social behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities."

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard slammed the thug, saying: "Anybody who thinks it's OK to not do a QR Code, but more importantly to attack staff members who are trying to enforce it really need to have the full weight of the law thrown at them."

So far no arrests have been made, police said.
