A huge 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit a remote area of Nevada on Friday 13th November, the largest quake the area has felt in 66 years.

The quake, which was 4.7. miles deep, was initially reported as 5.5 on the richter scale, but the US Geological Survey has since revised the rumble to 6.5.

A spokesman for USGS told CNN the earthquake was "widely felt" and shocked locals as the area has a "streak of not having big earthquakes for 66 years."
